About Merivelle

Merivelle is an award-winning filmmaker whose work explores emotional realism, blending restrained performances with a cinematic, character-driven sensibility.
Her short films Opa and The Sitdown have received multiple awards and festival recognition, including winning at the Beverly Hills Film Festival—where she became one of the youngest filmmakers accepted at just nineteen.
She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Merivelle was exposed to the film industry at an early age. Her grandparents are Lou Antonio and Lane Bradbury. Growing up, Merivelle often visited The Actor Studio and witnessed her grandfather, Lou Antonio, direct on the set of Boston Legal. After finishing high school, Merivelle moved to New York City, initially pursuing a degree in film production. She later transferred to Loyola Marymount University, majoring in screenwriting. After returning to Los Angeles, Merivelle began studying Lee Strasberg's Method acting.
